4. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Cookies, web beacons (also known as “tracking pixels”), and other tracking technologies may be used by Home Ladder and third parties to collect information about interactions with Content or emails, including information about how you browse. These cookies and similar tracking technologies allow us to recognize you when you visit a site or application, or when you open an email; perform various functions, such as enabling efficient navigation between pages, remembering your preferences, and generally improving your experience.

We use tracking technologies to analyze which Content is most popular and most viewed and which is least, and to obtain general information about Content users (such as age, gender, and areas of interest). We use analytics services provided by Google and others to analyze and improve your browsing experience as described in this paragraph. If you do not want us to use the information about your visits this way, click here for Google; to opt out of their services and other analytics services, follow the instructions below.

Managing Tracking Technologies

If you are using our Content through a browser and cookies are displayed, you can change your cookie preferences and withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Consent Tool (which appears in the bottom left corner). Cookies are not necessary to use our Content, but disabling them may affect your experience on our sites and applications.

Additionally: (1) the Help menu on the menu bar of most browsers explains how to prevent the browser from accepting new cookies, how to delete old cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, and how to disable cookies altogether; (2) you can opt-out of analytics services as explained above.

Location Identification Technologies

Subject to applicable law, we may use GPS software, geofencing, and other location identification technologies to locate you (sometimes precisely) to, for example, verify your location and deliver or restrict Content (e.g., territorial restrictions) based on your location. You can disable precise geographic location tracking through your device’s location settings or our Content (if available).

Apple iOS, Android Devices, and Other Connected Devices

By accessing certain applications from these devices, you consent to storing cookies and other technologies on your device for analytics. These cookies are non-essential for the website to function. Depending on your device, you may have the option to disable or delete these cookies from the device through settings.

You are not required to provide all the personal data specified in this Privacy and Cookie Policy to use our Content or to interact with us offline.

We do not use automated decision-making without human intervention, even in profiling assessments, in any way that has legal effects that may concern you or significantly affect you.

Regarding the personal data we collect and process for other purposes described above, we generally retain such data for no longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this Privacy and Cookie Policy, or as necessary to exercise or fulfill tax, business, compliance, legal, or other rights or obligations. If requested, we securely delete such data as prescribed by applicable law.
